Bingo was a favourite pastime for Mum and Dad. Dad was a bit of a legend at the local bingo Hall. I'm pretty sure he knew every caller by name and had a lucky dabber for every day of the week. His enthusiasm for the game was infectious, and I know more than a few of us here picked up the hobby thanks to him.  

Dad spent his working life as a supervisor on the gardens at the local Zoo. He took pride in his work, always going the extra mile to ensure things ran smoothly. His colleagues have spoken of his fairness, his ability to solve problems, and his knack for lightening the mood with a well-timed joke.  

But for all his hard work, Dad knew how to enjoy life too. He loved a good party, and his laugh was often the loudest in the room. He had a gift for making everyone feel welcome, whether you were a lifelong friend or someone he'd just met.  

And then there was his cooking. Oh, how we'll miss those Sunday roasts! Dad could work magic in the kitchen, turning simple ingredients into feasts fit for royalty. His Yorkshire puddings were legendary, and I'm pretty sure his secret gravy recipe will remain a mystery now for ever!  

As we say goodbye to Dad today, let's remember him not with sadness, but with the joy and love he brought into our lives. Let's remember his infectious laugh, his terrible dad jokes, his unbeatable roast potatoes, and the warmth of his amazing hugs.  

Dad, we'll miss you more than words can say. We'll miss your wisdom, your humour, and your unconditional love. But we're grateful for every moment we had with you, for every lesson you taught us, and for every memory we shared.  

So here's to you, Dad. May the bingo balls always fall in your favour, may your gravy always be lump-free, and may you always have a cold one waiting for you wherever you are now.
